Independent Review Endorses RCI

An independent review of the RCI completed by Dr. Donal McAnaney concluded that 'strong consideration should be given to deploying it as a recovery support tool in the Irish mental health system'.  The review involved an examination of the need for the use of a recovery tool in Ireland, the completion of a benchmarking exercise comparing the RCI to a range of other established recovery tools available internationally, and an assessment of the structural fit between the RCI and current and planned mental health services in Ireland.  The views and opinions of international experts and Irish representative organisations were also gathered.  The full report can be read here.
